PRODUCT DEFINITION

Nurtura is a smart lawn care system that combines a wireless soil sensor, automated sprinkler system, and mobile app to make yard maintenance effortless. It reads real-time soil and weather data to deliver precise watering, helping owners
grow greener lawns while saving time and water.

COMPONENTS

App – Syncs data, forecasts weather, and controls watering.
Soil Sensor – Tracks soil conditions in real time to sends to app.
Smart Sprinkler – Adjusts watering using soil data.

WORKFLOW OVERVIEWThe user opens the app to view current weather, overall lawn health, and the day’s watering schedule. Tapping a zone reveals an expanded image with the option to swipe up for soil data, watering time, and water usage. Users can also access the full schedule or add a new session.

SETUP STATEAfter signing in, the app asks for the user’s location to show a satellite view of their lawn and provide personalized watering tips and a tailored lawn summary. Users confirm their location with a “Confirm Location” button. This data helps deliver accurate, local recommendations for smarter watering,
better lawn care, and sustainable practices

ALERT STATEThese screens show key alerts like weather risks, system status, zone updates, and weekly water savings, giving users timely, relevant insights. They keep users informed, encourage quick action, build confidence, and highlight real-time system monitoring and optimization.

ACTION STATEThese screens display real-time data for the “Backyard Left Lawn” zone—watering status, soil moisture, pH, temperature, nutrients, and water use linked to savings goals—with options to adjust the schedule. This helps users understand conditions and system actions for smarter, healthier lawn care.

DATA REPORTINGThis screen shows overall water usage across zones with insights on changes and real-time soil moisture versus targets that control watering. It helps users understand the system and make informed adjustments. The widget layout uses a gray and green color scheme, with blue bars on the interactive map to highlight tappable areas.
